Life is beautiful, one must know how to live it. Age is no barrier. Richa Gupta, a woman of 54, living in Kashipur (Uttarakhand) is a true inspiration for the women, who generally quit their dreams at the age of 40.

Mrs. Athlete is the title that she owned in 2016. Besides this, She is a teacher, housewife, and have also worked in a Telefilm. She always enjoyed doing things which are challenging for her age group. This is the reason, she has earned many achievements in her life.

Before 2011, She was concentrating only on her profession and family. She was a home science teacher in a private school and had Busy schedules. Sitting on the desk throughout the day without any exercise became the cause of weight gain. She joined a gym at the age of 44. She worked hard but This transformation made her fitness freak.

One of her friends Mr. Rajeev Chaudhary told her about MASTERS ATHLETIC MEET, 2016. At the age of 49, she worked very hard, and on the day of the meet, she completed 800 metres race. In the event of the Relay Race, she won Silver. It became a turning point in her life. Later. she participated in many relay races and marathons.

In 2018, She represented Uttarakhand at 38th NATIONAL MASTERS ATHLETIC CHAMPIONSHIP. She gave her best in 1500 and 800 meters races to clinch the gold medal and silver in 400 meters. After a few months in 2019, She also enrolled herself in MARATHON DEHRADUN and won Gold Medal.

Throughout the journey from 2011 to 2020, she realized that age is just a number. We can do anything, we want in our life. Now, she wants to chase her Olympic dream as passionately as any other athlete has

In life, we hesitate, rationalize, procrastinate and fail to take actions just because of social norms. Never ever hit your dreams just because you have crossed the age. Progress and work hard for yourself, it will definitely make the move closer to uncertainty.
